ASN Kidney week is full of exciting opportunities to learn, network, and present your basic science research. Kidney Week is a social media friendly event, and we encourage you to live Tweet, Instagram post, Facebook post, ASN Community post, etc. If you use the #ASNBasicSci and #Kidneywk you will be able to archive your posts and have other users follow your updates. It’s also a great way to keep up with other attendees and see what our colleagues deem as exciting findings from the meeting. This year there is a new, Basic Research Forum on Wed. October 24, entitled “Emerging Concepts in Kidney Physiology and Disease”. This pre-meeting is free to attend. Please register by sending an email preasnmeeting@gmail.com. The program is still being finalized, but there will be a senior investigator “Kidney Clash” that should stimulate an interesting debate! Keep an eye out for more details.
Also new this year, originating at the Community Lounge, will be Poster Tours. There will be three Basic Science focused tours on Friday and Saturday. The purpose of the tours is to highlight some of the exciting research presented at Kidney Week. Five or six posters will be selected by the tour leaders who will take you to these posters and explain why this is exciting research. This is a fun way to meet fellow basic science researchers and talk about some cool studies.
